My Choreography
From class combinations, workshop snippets, and choreographic work, here you will find samples of choreography or classes I have taught. I like to tell a story through every piece I choreograph. I like to leave the audience feeling deep in thought and inspired. Dance has always been an outlet for me to authentically express myself as a human, and myself as the emotional being I am. "Année des Marguerites"
Translates to "Year of the Daisies." This piece was my college senior project. It depicts moving on to a new chapter in life, despite not knowing if you are ready, or where the chapter will take you. It is about trusting to love the entirety of one's life, despite not knowing what each flower and thorn represent. This is a theatrical ballet piece.
Heels Choreography "Training Season"
This is a snippet of what I offer in my heels dance classes for teenagers. They are dancing to "Training Season" by Dua Lipa. This is an informal piece they learned as part of their weekly class.
Britney Spears Jazz Funk Workshop Snippet
This is a snippet from my Britney Spears Jazz Funk workshop for adults. It features the group choreography taught within the workshop.
When The Magic Runs Out
This is a contemporary lyrical piece I choreographed for a show with the Portland Dance Collective. This piece depicts what it can feel like to be so hopeful about something, that you go around in circles, daydreaming in a trance-like way about the what if's of this newfound hope, only to be grounded once again in what is reality.
